AURA Face Contour Palette Review

With lots of hard work and help from my friend Boris Kuzmanov this blog post is available in two languages. Hope you like it and you find it helpful.

This year was all about those defined lines and attention to details. Contouring and highlighting were a big trend and will continue to be one of the main assets to a great makeup transformation. Everybody wants that nicely sculpted face with those cheeks on point and highlight that can blind a hater. Why is this so important to many? Because with few simple steps you can give life to your features, make them stand out, create illusions and make magic happen. Yes, contouring is a magic trick. And it can easily become your new obsession.

I love contouring. It can be done in so many different ways that it makes a fun and interesting experience. For so long I have been using a bronzer, a highlighter and a pressed powder to create the effect but now we have palettes that make the process easier and faster. A palette meant for contouring and highlighting was made by one of my all time favorite brands and if you have been reading my blog for a while you know that I get so excited when they come up with new products.

This Face Contour Palette by AURA was a true love at first sight. There are two options of the same palette: Fair and Dark. Even though it is logical for me to get the Fair one because I am so pale, I decided to get the Dark one because sometimes I like heavy contouring and I can mix and blend the colors easily. If you don't like experimenting I suggest take the palette that is suitable for your skin color.

The packaging is simple, thin and light, perfect for your makeup bag. When you open it you can see the beautiful colors, the nice size mirror and you can smell the sweet scent of the powders. You get 4 shades, the lightest Fix is meant for setting the product into place, but I also like to use it for defining the lines of the contour. The second is a Highlight. It is a soft highlight that goes on your face smoothly. The third is a Heavy Bronze and the forth one is a Heavy Sculpt. The four of them are 4 grams each and they last up to 36 months. Aside from the quality, the best part about this product is that it is only 6 or around $7. Which is pretty awesome if you ask me.

This palette is excellent for both beginners and professional makeup artists. It is really easy to use, the product applies nicely, blends easily and builds up without any problem. Start with little and work your way up, that is the best way and the only way to avoid any mistakes. For the best application you'll need a brush. And the most important part is before you start contouring, make sure that your face makeup is flawless. Use a high coverage foundation, conceal red spots and blemishes and set everything up with a pressed powder.

I also filmed a makeup video tutorial showing you how I like to use this palette. Don't forget to go to my YouTube Channel and subscribe, your support means a lot to me! Thanks!
